Are you struggling?

The fancy terms are “emotion dysregulation,” and of course the ever-trendy, “trauma.”

But what do those things look like?

Maybe you know what it feels like to spiral:

Binge eating, an urge to restrict your food, or compulsive exercise.

Shopping, alcohol, other substances.

Even manic episodes, maybe a bipolar diagnosis.

Self-harm, maybe with some ADHD you’ve only begun to understand.

You know there’s a connection between the ping-ponging you do — up, down, up, down — and things that happened a long time ago.

When you made that connection, it helped. It really did!

And knowing that connection exists isn’t enough to heal the wounds.
